2009 Sunny Corner Trail Ride

2009_Sunny_Corner_Trail_RideThe KTM Sunny Corner Trail Bike Ride runs over two days 19-20 September, in the Sunny Corner State Forest. The non competitive arrowed ride features two loops covering 75km in the morning, and 50km in the afternoon, rain, hail or shine – possibly even snow!


Anyone with a road licence and road registered bike can enter the event, and all entries go into the draw to win a new KTM 450 EXC, while the runner-up will take home a new KTM 50 SX mini, provided by KTM Australia. Runner up prizes will include thousands of dollars worth of tyres, helmets, oils, air filters, riding gear, bike stands, and trail tour vouchers. Riders are welcome to arrive on Saturday 19 September, where they are able to go for a ride in the forest and browse the trade displays, before setting up camp in the Sunny Corner State Forest. Evening entertainment at the camp site will include a live band in the evening, plus a bonfire and full catering facilities. Alternatively, riders can arrive for the first group departure early Sunday morning on September 20.

Entry to the event includes the ride, plus a breakfast and lunch voucher, and your ticket into the draw for the prizes. Early bird entries prior to 7 August cost $125 per person, while there after entry fees are $150 per person. The Central Tablelands Motorcycle Club will supply sweep riders, recovery vehicles, and full medical services throughout the
day, to provide each group departure with mechanical and safety support on the well arrowed, and marked out loops. KTM Australia in association with NSW dealerships will also set up a range of new KTM motorcycles for public viewing. Prior to this event KTM is encouraging everyone who shares a love of the outdoors to assist Forests NSW in their initiative to remove unwanted weeds and the planting of native trees along the Sunny Corner creek banks to restore the Mitchell Creek forest chain of ponds system.
